CONFERENCES

The Consistent Life Network hosts both local and national conferences about the Consistent Life Ethic, featuring speakers from our member groups and from our list of endorsers.

Our most recent event, pictured in the slideshow above, was held on February 14, 2015, at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX.  The conference was called "Making the Connections: Life, Peace, & Justice".  It featured keynote speakers Abby Johnson, known primarily as a pro-life-for-the-unborn activist, and Sr. Helen Prejean, renowned for her work against the death penalty, whose story was featured in the movie Dead Man Walking.

We co-sponsored the "Life/Peace/Justice" conference put on by our member group Life Matters Journal in Philadelphia, PA in 2014, and we hosted our own 25th Anniversary conference in March, 2012, in Bethesda, MD near Washington, DC.

In addition to these and the other conferences that we host or co-sponsor, we participate in many events every year.  Just a few recent examples are the 100th anniversary meeting of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom in 2015 the Hague, Netherlands; "Dorothy Day and the Church: Past, Present, and Future" in 2015 at the University of St. Francis, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and the March for Life /West Coast Walk for life, annually in Washington, DC and
San Francisco, CA.

Our 30th Anniversary conference will take place in Spring 2017 at a location to be determined, possibly Chicago, IL.
