Waging Nonviolence by Killing the Unborn?
Our friend Herb Geraghty (pictured), executive director of CLN member group Rehumanize International, and four others are being tried for allegedly violating the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) during a nonviolent pro-life action at a late-term abortion center. The Washington, DC trial started on August 9.
The charges carry a penalty of up to 11 years in prison.
Herb has provided comments on the case; see also Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising’s webpage and regular updates on the trial, which has received media coverage.
Those wishing to donate money to help cover Herb’s legal costs can do so through this fund. Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes are also much appreciated.

The essence of goodness is: to preserve life, promote life, help life to achieve its highest destiny. The essence of evil is: destroy life, harm life, and hamper the development of life. It seems to me as clear as daylight that abortion would be a crime.
